The Washington State Building Code allows floor systems to have a deflection of L/360. This means 1'' of deflection in 360'' or 30'. TCT feels these floors are too soft and builds all their floors to the tougher standard of L/480. 33% less deflection - you can really feel the difference.
To read this table:
- Look at the ''Truss Spacing'' -the center-to-center distance between each floor truss
- Look up the depth of the flooring system (12''-24'')
- Read the spans possible using 2 different grades of lumber
