FLOOR TRUSSES 101
Floor trusses have many advantages over TJI, especially in floor depths of 16'' or more.
- Clean spans of 25', even 30' without midpoint bearing are easily achieved.
- Because of their open web design, utilities can be easily routed where they're most convenient.
- Floor trusses are 3-1/2'' wide: More stable to install, easier to align subfloor nailing.
- Floor trusses can cantilever for forming balconies or overhangs. TJI can't.
- Fast and simple installation.
