Add-Ons 101

There are a number of extras that can add speed and safety to your truss installation. Hangers are always included in the quote price. Blocks and other requested options will also be in the quote price. No surprises after the fact with TCT.

HANGERS

The necessary hangers are provided in the price of your package. Tri-County Truss provides all truss-to-truss hangers and truss-to-beam or wall hangers. TCT does not provide beam-to-truss hangers or hold-down hangers (such as hurricane clips).

BLOCKS

Blocks can be supplied for any standard truss spacing or heel height. Pictured are 2x4 vent blocks for 16'' and 24'' spacing, 2x6 solid blocks, and a 2x12 vented & beveled block for vertical installation at a raised heel position. We manufacture our own blocks on site, so we can easily meet your project's unique needs.

VALLEYS

Valleys, pictured in blue here, provide a simple, fast to install, overframing solution for valley fills.

SHEATHING, NOTCHING & SAFETY ANCHORS

Tri-County Truss offers a wide variety of Turn-Key Options to make your installation faster and easier.
  • SHEATHING: We cover your gables with OSB. No more wrestling sheets into position 20' or more in the air.
  • NOTCHING: We can notch the gable end for speedy installation of outlookers without swinging a Skil saw at the top of a ladder. (What's the oversized hole? It is where we run the sling for lifting the trusses onto your plateline.)
  • SAFETY-ANCHORS: We install safety anchors so that your people can clip off safely the instant that the trusses are properly braced into place.

DROPPED TOP CHORDS
Dropping the Top Chord, in this example by 3-1/2'', is an ideal way to make the space to add outlookers on edge.

STABILIZERS

Stabilizers quickly secure trusses at 2' spacing without measuring. They remain in place beneath the final sheathing so there is no need to strip the bracing as you install the roofing.">

We also offer Purlin blocking
Purlin Blocking is used to preassemble pairs of Ag Trusses. The pairs of trusses are more stable for installation and they are ready for purlins as soon as they're bolted into place.
